Craig Armstrong
“The Prime Minister’s Love Theme”
Love, Actually (2003)

A rather lovely, uplifting melody from Armstrong’s (Moulin Rouge, World Trade Center) self-described first foray into scoring romantic comedies.

Craig Armstrong & AR Rahman
“Opening”
Elizabeth: The Golden Age (2007)

Stirring; compact; urgent.  At less than two minutes length, “Opening” sets a regal tone for this film, starring Cate Blanchett as the titular queen of England in the late 16th century.

Craig Armstrong previously scored Moulin Rouge (2001) and World Trade Center (2006), among other films; Rahman is best known for his Bollywood work and his Oscar-winning score (and song, “Jai Ho”) for Slumdog Millionaire (2008).
