Although A. R. Rahman has had a long and heralded career in music, many if not most people first got to know him from his score to 2009’s Best Picture Oscar winner, Slumdog Millionaire. Rahman not only won the Oscar for Best Score, he also nabbed the Golden Globe and BAFTA awards in the same category, while winning the Best Song Oscar for “Jai Ho.”
